Imagine a swimmer who had learnt and swam in a pool all his life trying to rescue someone who was drowning in a sea, would you be surprised if he got eaten by a crocodile before the person drowning?

You should whisper the answer in  my ears via the comment box.

Apostates are persons who have renounced a religion or faith.

– Apostates are usually backsliders that are irredeemable.

– They invariably become a tool to the devil. Hence, they target individuals, families, communities and the church of the living God.

Hebrews 6:4-6 MSG

Once people have seen the light, gotten a taste of heaven and been part of the work of the Holy Spirit, once they’ve personally experienced the sheer goodness of God’s Word and the powers breaking in on us—if then they turn their backs on it, washing their hands of the whole thing, well, they can’t start over as if nothing happened. That’s impossible. Why, they’ve re-crucified Jesus! They’ve repudiated him in public!

FROM KJV, the apostates are once enlightened, tasted of the heavenly gifts, made partakers of the holyghost.

They are very well aware of the prize at the end of the spiritual race.

– They are familiar foes.

We have to be careful as believers when we do evangelism, some are out there to downgrade or belittle our faith. They know God’s word but unfortunately with the upside down application or interpretation.

Beware when you find yourself arguing with someone about God’s word.

-Do you know Judas was an Apostate yet he was in the camp of Christ?

Matthew 26:14-16 MSG

That is when one of the Twelve, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the cabal of high priests and said, “What will you give me if I hand him over to you?” They settled on thirty silver pieces. He began looking for just the right moment to hand him over.

Matthew 26:22 MSG

They were stunned, and then began to ask, one after another, “It isn’t me, is it, Master?”

I hope you know Judas asked that question too.

Matthew 26:25 MSG

Then Judas, already turned traitor, said, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” Jesus said, “Don’t play games with me, Judas.”

Despite this Jesus letting him know he knew who he was, he didn’t change. You also cannot convert everyone. Don’t make yourself the Holy Spirit.

Speak to souls who heart are ripe and leave others to God.

I need to you to read carefully the verses below.

1 Timothy 4:1-5 MSG

The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars. These liars have lied so well and for so long that they’ve lost their capacity for truth. They will tell you not to get married. They’ll tell you not to eat this or that food—perfectly good food God created to be eaten heartily and with thanksgiving by believers who know better! Everything God created is good, and to be received with thanks. Nothing is to be sneered at and thrown out. God’s Word and our prayers make every item in creation holy.

Watch out o ye that jump from one church to another looking for motivational speakers rather than preachers of undiluted message of holiness.

I Timothy 4:6-11 NKJV

If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach.

May God give us the spirit of discernment, Amen.
